Pastor Joel Pledge
Director for East Asia and Mongolia
Joel Pledge lives in Jackson, TN with his wife Linda. He is the pastor of CrossRoads Assembly of God in the small community of Three Way, TN which is on the extreme north edge of Jackson. Joel is a life long member of the Assemblies of God having graduated in 1982 from the AoG Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. The Pledge's have two daughters, Bethany Erickson of Wheaton, Illinois and Lindsay Freyer, of Mexico Missouri.
Joel traveled to Russia with the School of Christ in 1995 as the Director of the School in the Kaliningrad Region of Russia. During the next five years he participated in schools all across Russia and the Republic of Georgia.
In the fall of 1998 Bro. Clendennen asked Joel to be the Director of the Far East School of Christ and since that time he has traveled extensively in throughout East Asia on behalf of the School. Hundreds of men and women have been trained for the ministry and thousands of video schools established throughout that nation.
Over the years he has continued to minister in Russian's far East. The established churches of the Vladivostok region have been very active in the planting of new churches. They regularly invite Joel to participate in their leadership training using the School of Christ material. Every year Joel travels planting new church's and assists in raising up a new leaders for those church. These newly trained leaders form the nucleus of the new churches plant in yet another city of Russia.
