SOC Invited to Teach in 67 Prisons Around the US

"The spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek. He hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound."
— Isaiah 61:1

May 2004

In the process of reaching this generation, the School of Christ has become the most effective prison ministry in all the world. We put the school in sixty-two major prisons in Russia, the officials allowed us two hours a day five days a week. The school literally transformed the prisons. Violence and murder became so rare that the official begged us to come to all prisons. We have seen the same thing in some countries in Africa and South America.

Now we are moving into the prisons of America. We are in every major prison in Alabama, we are moving into Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. We just this month signed a contract to put the school in sixty-seven prisons in twenty-nine states. (A complete list of these prisons are below.) Most prison ministries are in the prisons once every four to six months, we will be there two hours a day five days a week. Revival is coming to America's prisons, and perhaps from there to the Nation.

The following is a wonderful testimony of how powerful the School of Christ is in the lives of the prisoners we are reaching with the truth of Christ.

Greetings Brother Pete Spackman,

We are currently running two separate schools in Holman. We are in the Honor Dorm on Thursdays for 2 and 1/2 hours and again on Saturdays in general population for 3 hours. We just begun the school in Fountain and we are there once per week on Saturdays for 2 and 1 /2 hours as well.

We have started slow in both schools teaching the men to pray and to wait in God's presence. The prayers of these men after two months are now being quickened by God and the Holy Ghost has breathed new life into these men.

I would like to share one testimony from Holman.ln the book of Job 1:9 we read, "Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?" What Satan was really asking was will a man serve God for nothing? He has always tried to make nothing of God's provision through Christ. Gone is the testimony, "Take this whole world but give me Jesus." We live in the day of prosperity preaching. Men are taught that gain is Godliness. In Holman there are over 170 men who are serving life without parole and almost as many waitnig on death row.

One of our student's, name is L.T. He is a young man in his 30s serving life without parole. He was in class last week and testified after one of the prayer meetings that God had became more real to Him now than ever. He was very discouraged at the thought of living for God the rest of his life in prison. He told God, I will never hold my wife and children again, never drive a S.U.V., never eat in another restaurant, never know any of the luxuries of the free world. In the series of " The Conflict " The Battle For Life he understood for the first time that the devil was robbing him of the Life of God. He said the Holy Ghost come to him in his bunk and ask him, If you never have any of these things for the rest of your life, will I be enough ? He broke and said yes! He told the devil, you can have my things, but you can't have this Life!

I can honestly say that throgh this one testimony alone , God has challenged the whole class including myself and Life has come. From the hearts of every inmate and myself Thank you Jesus for the School of Christ and Your precious Life!!!

In His Will,
Brother Eddy Sullivan
