There are currently 4.1 million American Indians in the United States. There are five hundred and fifteen tribes in the United States living on three hundred reservations, rancheros and colonies, two hundred of these tribes have not heard the name of Jesus.
The unemployment rate on the average reservation ranges from sixty to ninty-five percent. Indian youth have a higher suicide rate than the youth of any other nationality group in America. The School of Christ has had eighty schools in operation on reservations throughout the nation reaching one hundred American Indian tribes as of 2004, we have certainly grown since then.
